Munendra, a double MBA from India and UK and having worked across different Indian MNCs and International companies, came back to India in 2015 and started Nihal Agro Farm with an investment of Rs. 30,000 and 13 goats. Today, the business has spread across 29,000 sq ft of farm comprising over 500 goats of popular breeds. Additionally, the 2nd (33000 sq. ft.) and 3rd Farm Units (55000 sq. ft.) are also under construction, which will eventually make Nihal Agro Farm the only company in India having that many farm units.
Munendra Singh’s journey took him to hinterlands of India where he spent a good enough time studying the plight of poor farmers and ways to help them. This also gave him the opportunity to deeply understand different breeds in India and the nuances of procuring healthy and pure bloodline goats and their safe transportation with zero mortality.
With timely financial support from Punjab National Bank, Munendra was quickly able to grow up the business and from trading in 2-3 breeds he scaled to trading and rearing of over 8 popular breeds in India. In January 2021, Nihal Agro Farm became the 1st farm in Uttar Pradesh to claim a subsidy of Rs. 19 Lakhs under a scheme of NABARD.
Munendra apart from growing the business, spends a substantial amount of his time in building the goat farming ecosystem by training current and prospective Goat Farmers. His experience gained over the last 7-8 years of working at the ground level, helps him to relate to a farmer’s problem. He trains and guides them in the best possible manner through different practical approaches. So far he has trained over 110 Goat Farmers, many of them are now successfully running goat farming businesses in India.
Munendra wants to eventually make Nihal Agro Farm the largest Goat Farming and Goat Milk & By-product company not only in India but even globally.
